Background History
Rolling Hills Asylum was orginally built in the 1790's as a stage coach tavern. It has also been at one time a poor
house,
insane asylum, orphanage, and nursing home. It has been documented that nearly 1750 people died at the location and
noted to be one of the most haunted locations in the United States.
