Giles County, Virginia
Background History
Built in the late 1930s and officially opened on December 20th, 1939, the Pearis Theatre has long thought to be haunted. Managed and operated by Jack Reel, the theatre had a reputation for no nonsense.
No fighting, no unruly behavior, no food the floors, Mr. Reel operated a very orderly and clean theatre. He would die in the 1950s and it is said that he still manages and maintains the theatre that meant so much to him while he was alive. Reports of paranormal activity include disembodied voices, shadow people, people being physically touched and a little girl that is often sighted in the basement.
