Old South Pittsburg Hospital -- South Pittsburg, Tennessee
Black Raven Paranormal Investigation
Black Raven Paranormal travelled to South Pittsburg, Tennessee in December of 2012 to investigate the Old South Pittsburg Hospital. The hospital is known as one of Tennessee's most haunted locations if not the most haunted in the state. The 68,000 square foot medical facility was in operation from 1959 - 1998. Some of the paranormal activity observed here has been moving objects, coldspots, disembodied voices, people being touched and numerous shadow figures - apparitions. Some possible connections to the activity could be a natural spring that runs under the hospital as well as the very many illnesses, injuries and deaths that occurred here over the years.

The History of the South Pittsburg Hospital
The hospital was built in 1959 and known as the South Pittsburg Municipal Hospital (SPMH). It was founded by four doctors with many additions added in up until 1980. The hospital served the community and surrounding areas of South Pittsburg until it was closed in 1998.
The land upon which the hospital rests has many historical ties with Native Americans as well as an abundance of Civil War activity with many battles raging in the area.
The Hospital was built on a solid Limestone rock, with a natural spring running directly under the location. This could contribute to much of the paranormal activity.
