Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Background History

The historic Farnsworth House is located on Baltimore Street in Gettysburg and was right in the middle of the action during
the battle of Gettysburg.   John McFarlane built the house in 1810.   It has over one hundred bullet holes in one side of the
building from the battle.   It is also believed this is the house from which a confederate sharp shooter shot and killed
Jennie Wade across the street from the attic.   She was the only civilian killed in the battle of Gettysburg.   The house
is known to be extremely haunted and it is claimed to have 13 resident spirits.
