Background History
Braley's Pond is located on route 250, west of Staunton, Virginia towards West Virginia. It is also located in the very
beautiful George Washington National Forest. A very large pond that many people enjoy for fishing in the area, it also
features a very nice picnic area. It was also the scene of a brutal murder a couple of years ago. A gang related murder
where the victim was stabbed 13 times and their body thrown in the pond to drown. The forest area was also the
scene of a suicide just a year ago.
